I am a Picnic Box. While I may masquerade as a box of all trades, I'm actually your ultimate picnic pal! With compartments perfect for all your goodies and a flat top for snack prep, I'm ready to party!
Curator's Notes
This box is sold as a sewing box or craft accessory box in Japan, but it has compartments that are perfect for picnics! That's how we use it because it also has a flat top that functions as a stable surface at a picnic - a place to prep snacks and pour drinks. The small compartments can be used to place napkins, a bottle opener, small bites, and cutlery, while the main compartment can be used to fit a bottle of wine and cups or a few snacks. While it no doubt serves as a sewing box, we actually prefer the Sewing Box found for that purpose - everything is organized but together with that box, as its compartments are connected within.
